Saskia Laroo’s music is an exciting blend of modern genres that are otherwise unlikely to be heard together. Her sound, which she calls “nu-jazz” or “swingin’ body music,” has been described as hip hop with swing instrumentation — but there’re also salsa tunes for those who want their feet tapping.

The jazz world is small, and when the Alexander Beets Quintet name rings anywhere in it, you know that someone will stand up to listen. The tenor powerhouse has garnered international acclaim with his explosive sound over recent years – appearing alongside some of our greatest living musicians as part of their respective lineups.
