No seasoned globetrotter can complete their tour of the world without visiting the world’s southernmost continent: Antarctica. Logistical concerns usually complicate the matter, though, and when travelling to the South Pole, it’s understandable that comfort is a prime concern.

Enter superyacht expedition experts EYOS. Starting from 2019, travellers will be able to book individual cabins aboard the ultra-luxurious Legend for a weeklong expedition to Antarctica – eliminating the very costly need to charter one’s own expedition and vessel from scratch.

Three experienced guides will be onboard the megayacht to share their knowledge about the native creatures of the South Pole – think penguins, polar bears, and other majestic beasts – and to guide travellers along on their journey. The 77-meter long Legend was made for arctic expeditions, with full icebreaking capabilities as well as a helipad onboard.

Its interiors were also recently refitted to make long journeys more enjoyable, boasting a cinema, spa, and even a pool onboard. Gourmet meals and spirits are also available on request, making those long arctic nights that much more enjoyable. EYOS, who just celebrated its 10th anniversary, will begin its scheduled tours in January. ◼
