Accor is introducing a new brand, Handwritten Collection, to its portfolio. This global initiative offers travellers the opportunity to enjoy an intimate and stylish hospitality experience in charming bespoke hotels with access to all the benefits of a larger hotel chain. The guiding principle for this collection is to offer a more authentic feel in smaller properties located in local neighbourhoods.

Taking existing independent hotels and lightly converting them to Handwritten Collection hotels unlocks their potential as part of Accor’s network, booking platform and loyalty programs. As a result, travellers will benefit from each property’s unique experience while enjoying the added convenience of booking through a larger group. With over 250 such hotels planned by 2030, it’s clear that Accor is committed to giving travellers an unforgettable experience at every location.

Accor ensures that each Handwritten Collection hotel retains its character and culture while having access to the larger group’s resources. The bespoke design, cuisine and experiential offerings make each property distinct—the cookie-cutter stops here! With locations in vibrant cities like Shanghai, Paris and Sydney, there are plenty of destinations for travellers to explore with Handwritten Collection hotels.

“The manner in which each host interacts with their guests is thoughtfully considered and brings to life their own personal passions,” added Caroline Bénard, Global SVP Economy & Midscale Brands, Accor. “Whether in a social setting or the privacy of a guest’s room, there will be moments of storytelling and engagement that create a genuine connection. This rapport between host and guest contributes to a more meaningful and memorable stay experience.’

Alex Schellenberger, chief marketing officer, premium, midscale, economy brands, Accor added: “The hotels we will feature in Handwritten Collection are those sought out by travellers who appreciate heartwarming travel experiences and a twist on traditional hospitality, as well as by hoteliers who cherish the unique personality of their properties while desiring the benefits that come with a leading global partner.”
